Not every player is a gamer. Some players may be casuals. An ideal game should be levelled accordingly to challenge for both the casual player, the hardcore gamer and anything in between. A game can neither be too easy, nor too hard. When playing Mario, for example, one of the final objectives is to eliminate a character called bowser. Supposedly bowser was an invincible character. This would lead the game to becoming devious, meaningless, and therefore boring. Some games may use this challenge and frustration to their advantage: Flappy Bird is considered one of the most nerve wrecking games, despite that, people continuously play to try and get a high score. The rage that comes from these players is what has made the game so extremely popular. Successfully, “The legend of Zelda” is considered to be an easy game to complete, so it is appealing to a wide range of playing skill.
